GROWER OF THE YEAR AWARDS 2002

Dulford Nurseries of Cullompton was one of three nominations for the Nursery Stock Grower category at the above Awards Ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. This category was extremely well supported with quality presentations, and was sponsored by The Horticultural Trades Association.


The other nominations were James Coles and Sons Ltd. of Leicester and Wyeplants of Spalding. This was a particular achievement by Dulford Nurseries to be nominated a finalist amongst these large wholesale businesses.

According to the judges: "Dulford Nurseries is a family run operation singled out because of the attention to detail it pays to everything it does. It is a small specialist nursery that supplies connoisseurs rather than the mass market and as such its marketing is individually tailored. Attention is paid not only to the plants but the people who work for the company and those who buy the plants."

Congratulations to James Coles, and also to H.R Whetman and Son of Dawlish, the Overall Grower of the Year.
